Goss Throttle Bodies

Throttle bodies are components of the air intake system that control the amount of air flowing into the engine. They are usually located between the air filter and the intake manifold, and consist of a valve that opens and closes according to the throttle position sensor. The throttle body is responsible for regulating the engine speed and power output, as well as the fuel efficiency and emissions. Throttle bodies can be either mechanical or electronic, depending on the type of fuel injection system used. Mechanical throttle bodies are connected to the accelerator pedal by a cable or linkage, while electronic throttle bodies use an electric motor to adjust the valve position based on signals from the engine control unit. Throttle bodies can vary in size, shape, and design, depending on the engine specifications and performance requirements. Some common types of throttle bodies are single-point, multi-point, and direct injection throttle bodies.
